Prom Dress Battle 2024
About
Our Prom Dress Battle is the highlight of Stockholm Pride Week. We have been running into each other in dresses since 2016. This ridiculous event features Berserker players, along with players from other Swedish teams and abroad. Half of the proceeds go to Regnbågsfonden, meaning we have fun whilst giving back to the community. With food, beverages, and a post-match pub crawl, it's the perfect way to celebrate Pride in style.
Join us for a night of unforgettable fun, fashion, and fierce competition!
Your Stockholm Berserkers xoxo

We are raising money for the Rainbow Fund who finance organisations and projects in countries where LGBTQIA+ people are discriminated against, persecuted and killed.

Half of the Promdress Battle winnings will be donated to the Rainbow fund.
Frequent Questions
-
Are children welcome?YES - we apologize for any swearing or innuendo.
-
Will there be food and drinks? There will be food and softdrinks to purchase.
-
Will you play even if it is raining?Promdress is even more fun in the rain! Please still come by if it rains! :)
-
Do I need to understand Rugby? No, we have charming commentators who will explain whats going on and if that fails just enjoy idiots running around in the mud.
-
What do I need to bring?- Rugby boots - Mouthguard - Waterbottle - Promdress or Suit - Make-Up, Glitter or Facepaint
-
How are teams selected? The Sign-Up form will ask you to select Ladies inclusive or Gents inclusive team - choose which team you feel most comfortable playing in. We select the teams based on experience & preferred positions, if you are an experienced Rugby player you might be playing out of position. Please let us know ALL of the positions you are willing to play.
-
Will it be 7s, 10s or 15s?This depends on how many people sign up, ideally we would like to play 15s. Last year we played 10s (2x20 minutes) + an additional mixed touch for 10 minutes. But depending on sign-ups this could be different this year.
-
Is it full contact?YES. But there will be an optional mixed touch session at the end.
-
What happens after?First we will announce the winners of "Best Dressed" and the games and we will announce the winners of the raffle. We hope that whilst the Berserkers are cleaning up, everyone stays and continues having fun. The plan is for us to meet up at a local bar and go partying together afterwards.
-
Why do I have to pay a fee to play? With that money we finance the cost of the pitch, the food & half of all our winnings will go to the Rainbow Fund.
-
Do I need to bring my own food?We will provide Burgers/Hot Dogs for the players, but please bring your own snacks.

INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL PLAYERSHousing: - Some of the Berserkers have offered to host any traveling players. Please let us know via info@berserkers.se if you are interested or reach out to one of our social media accounts. - If you want to stay in a hotel, we are currently in discussion with some hotels regarding a discount code. We are not sure when and if this will happen, so if you are not willing to wait a few more days, here is a list of queer friendly hotels in Stockholm https://www.misterbandb.com/destination/stockholm Transport: You can use contactless payment on all public transports. The pitch is at the Metro Station "Gubbängen" on the green line to Farsta Strand. Google Maps works well to find out where you need to go. Alcohol: The only place to buy normal/high percentage alcohol in Sweden is called "Systembolaget". They are not open on Sundays and close quite early on a Saturday.
